Meisner Acting Technique Intensive

“Acting is the ability to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.” – Sanford Meisner

Developed by master acting teacher Sanford Meisner, this step-by-step approach to actor training is one of the most influential in the world. In this ten-hour workshop taking place over the course of two days, participants will be introduced to the Meisner Acting Technique.

  • Saturday, April 29th from 10am – 5pm*
  • Sunday, April 30th from 10am – 2pm*

What to expect: On day one, we will start with Meisner’s definition of acting. Then, we will move onto working with the foundation of this technique, the Repetition Exercise. This exercise establishes an authentic connection between two actors. Eventually, additional ingredients will be brought into play which will further develop the actor’s concentration, commitment, and sense of freedom. On day two, we will carry these tools over and begin working with very basic text. *Actors’ Equity Association rehearsal & meal breaks will be observed.
