Ringing in the new
For some, a simple evening at home with a bottle of champagne and the Times Square festivities on TV is enough to ring in the new year. Holiday Artisans’ Market showcases local artists, builds community
Celebrate First Friday in December as the Pajama Factory, 1307 Park Ave., hosts its 6th Annual Holiday Artisans’ Market from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 4. Local artists and artisans will display their wares, factory tenants will open their studio doors for the evening and live music, food, local brews and great company will be enjoyed by all who attend.
Through the lens and back in time
The Williamsport Community Darkroom will take people back to the 19th century with a Victorian era-themed photoshoot.
The event – which will raise funds for the darkroom – will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Pajama Factory, 1307 Park Ave.
Pajama Factory to offer free portfolio evaluations for high school students
Are you in 10th through 12th grade, interested in pursuing a degree in the art field and have a portfolio? You’re in luck – the Factory Works Gallery at the Pajama Factory, 1307 Park Ave., will hold a portfolio review for students from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 26. Light refreshments also will be served from places such as Way Cool Beans, a coffee shop which also is located in the Pajama Factory.
How a backpack-using entrepreneur ‘made his own path’
There are many creative ventures going on inside of the Pajama Factory – some of which are highly publicized, but many others that fly under the radar. Thought of mainly as a place for painters or graphic artists, it would have been easy to miss the news that Equinox LTD, a company that makes outdoor gear right in the factory, was commissioned by a 27-year-old entrepreneur from California to help design and create an innovative new backpack.

Fun and flirty figure drawing
This month, the Pajama Factory, 1307 Park Ave., will present something new that involves drawing, burlesque and the cult classic 1980s film “Ghostbusters” – a unique event titled “Pasties, Pencils and Pints” that will be held at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
