Newsletter February 2021

In Focus

Rather than a tenant highlight this newsletter, we wanted to use this space to celebrate the launch of our new website!!!

A HUGE effort by our great staff in pulling this together (thanks to all)! While there may be a few kinks here and there, we hope you visit to check it out.

Note from Susie and Mark

What a year this has been! It is hard to look back and find any silver lining. But there are little windows of inspiration that can be found.

For instance, the opportunity we had to spend more time with family/spouse or rediscovering simple pleasures that we were too busy to see before.

In spending more time at the Pajama Factory, we were able to enjoy the garden- planting and sometimes seeing the rewards of our efforts.

We savored the warm summer evenings, the outdoor dinners, the occasional outdoor ‘fire pit’ gatherings of friends and the excitement of seeing the fruits of labor from our hardworking staff.

Being local also afforded us a chance to do more hikes, find more swimming holes, enjoy a kayak trip and learn the game of pickle ball-which we ended up playing often!

Wishing all our friends a very happy 2021 and hoping you have a chance to come visit us at the Pajama Factory later in the year when activities will be able to resume.

Till then, be safe and stay healthy!!

Mark and Susie

Construction

After 16 months of waiting for the city to complete review of our paperwork for the State grant we received, it seems as though the review has been completed and we are looking forward to submission so we can kick off the projects this funding will afford. One of the first projects will be the paving of our parking lots which is much needed to spruce up our entranceways.

The good news is that we have completed our 4th floor studios- all 18 of them- and have preleased them all, with folks ready to move in as soon as the city gives an ok for occupancy. We have a wide range of tenants including 11 businesses and can’t wait to have them join our growing community.

Events

This year’s events have been curtailed by the COVID restrictions but there w

ere a number of events that

we were able to host outside in the courtyard: a few concerts, voter registration drives, a Broadway sing, a TEDx-Williamsport event and even a few weddings. We also had a few community groups stage virtual events -a Rocky Horror Picture Show was streamed as was a wonderful Christmas choir for the holidays and we had a music video filmed here as well (as well as many photo shoots).
